IPod and TransPod
Is anyone using a Transpod in their Mercedes? In order to use it, you haveto be able to tune into an unused radio frequency, and I'm not able to do it. The owners manual says that the radio can only go to "live" radio frequencies.

I've found these "transponders" need to be rediculously close to the antennae to be received with even marginal signal strength. I've tried two different brands; and both had the same problem. Even the one (I forget the brand name) which allows you do download a gazillion frequencies into your IPOD and then you select the one you want to use just as you would select a song-title. Neat idea; but it still doesn't work! So in short: I suspect you don't have the IPOD & converter positioned close enough to the antenna (in the glass) to create a sufficient signal for the radio to capture the signal.
