some Command questions

I have an '03 CL600 and am having some problems with the stereo.

1. Currently there is no sound. The indash unit looks as though it is working properly (will lock on radio stations, can see track time progress in CD mode, NAV works but no Voice prompts) so it seems like the problem probably is with the amp. Where is the amp in this car - is there any fusing that I could check? The display in the speedo is showing "no malfunctions". I am bringing it in to the dealership for service and asked them these questions already but they didn't feel like sharing the info with me. I assume they rather charge MBUSA for warranty labor than provide DIY troubleshooting tips.

2. Rear deck rattles with basslines. Kickdrums don't seem to bother it much, but a sustained bassline causes a lot of rattles. I will ask my service advisor to check it out, but I think I'm still going to need to add some dynamat or whatever to keep it from buzzing. Does anyone have this problem with their CL? And if you did try to fix it where exactly did you place the dynamat or foam padding?

3. Does anyone know how to get into the service menu to access the advanced sound controls? I would like to increase the subwoofer level/gain without having to do it through the "bass" adjustment. I want the Subs to be louder without turning up the bass adjustment for the entire system. In an LS430 with the Pioneer/Denso NAV in the "service menu" I could adjust the volumes of High/Mid/SUB speaker volume without having to do it in the "EQ". Doing it this way is more like setting the gain for a particular speaker than using the EQ to get desired results.

Other than that I feel the '03 Command system is not too bad. I've done/have aftermarket setups in the other cars and I decided that I'm just not interested in doing it in the CL. I think I would be happy if I could just tweak out the issues above. Please respond if you can help me out.

Take it back to the dealer and wait for it while you're enjoying the coffee and donuts. I assume it's under warrrantee anyway.
