You will have to find a wiring diagram of the OEM head and cut the pigtail off. Cut it so it can be reattached or resold.
Match the cables to the new head pigtail. If you are talking about fiber connections, you might have to get tech support from the new radio mfg.

Cheers, Gator

Which wiring harness did you purchase? Was it a Metra 70-1784?

As long as you have the Metra 70-1784 (harness), Metra 40-VW10 (antenna adapter), and Metra dash kit, then you're all set. You wont have to do any cutting and splicing, as the Metra harness and radio harness match color to color.

Thank's Chief,

I visited instology some time ago looking for radio info. but it turned out to be a fuse. I fixed my right side door control system today and found yet another fuse box. 4 on this car so far.
fuses are our friend.
Ground cables for audio amplified systems should remain 1 foot or less. for the head find a metal part on the dash and use a good fastener.

Cheers, Gator
