REALLY APPRECIATE A LITTLE HELP.
Hi, does anyone on here know if i remove my rear sam module and reinstall it if i have to reprogram it at a mercedes dealership? i took it out because it looked like it had a lot of corrosion on it and cleaned it off. didnt so much as to scratch anything inside of it and didnt use any chemicals. when i reinstalled it, the digital gas gauge will not work, the turn signals dont work, and the rear windows dont go up or down but the front ones work fine.. its a little weird but any help would be appreciated.

If you just removed it (battery first disconnected) and reinstalled it (reconnected the battery), the SAM would not need programming.
Did you check all fuses, pre-fuses too? Did you check if all control units have power?
Is it a coupe or cabriolet? The wiring is quite different for the two.

Thanks for the reply, and it is coupe. here is what i did exactly i disconnected the battery then took out the sam with fuses still on fusebox then disconnected fusebox wiring. then i took out the fuses and resistors which were all good i checked them because of the burn marks i saw. put everything back together including fuses and put the wiring back in the sam connected the battery and turned on the car. but as soon as i turned it on the warning came up saying display malfunction, drive to workshop.
