2012 CLS 550 Dashboard/Headunit removal
Hello,
I am attempting to install a video in motion module in a 2012 CLS550. To complete this install the headunit must be removed so that I can connect to the wires behind the stereo headunit.
This is where we are having difficulty and I am in search of some assistance taking the dashboad, specifically the wood grain, off. The screws holding the headunit in place are behind the long woodgrain section that reaches from the steering wheel
to the passenger door. I was easily able to remove the torx screws in the door jam as well as above the glove box. However, the other end of the woodgrain near the steering wheel seems to be connected to the dash but I cannot figure how to disconnect this end of the woodgrain from the dash.
Has anybody removed the headunit from a 2012 CLS 550? Can you shed a little light on how to get the woodgrain section out of the way?
