Installing a bose amplifier to command (S-class year 2000)
I have a command system with navi in my MB, without Bose sound system.
Is it possible to install a Bose amplifier to my car (Bose amplifier for w220 as seen in Ebay),
Is it complicated or even possible at all?
What else do I need exept amplifier?
Where should I install this amplifier, I mean the equpment it self.
And finally is it worth it?!
By the way I´m in Europe so there´s no prewiring in my MB.

First of all, make sure on eBay you're finding a W220 Bose aimplifier, not W202!
On the W220, the Bose amp sits next to the CD changer in the left trunk well.
It doesn't matter whether you are in Europe or US, cars that do not come with Bose do not come with the wiring. The wiring harness for the Bose system is rather expensive, so unless you have a good source, this will cost you a lot.
You will also need a fibre optic cable and one connector to go between your CD changer and the Bose amp.
Finally, the speakers must all be changed for Bose speakers, because the impedence of the regular speakers differs from the Bose speakers.
An additional step is that your COMAND must be version coded to work with the digital sound system, but the system will function without this, it just causes errors in the log.
This is a pretty big (and expensive) undertaking! But if you are determined, it can be done.

Thanks Scorchie!
Maybe I´ll skip this one...
