Hi guys,
I just upgraded from a c32 to e63 yesterday.
I have done some research about the aux input being disable if I have the iPod connector. Is there a DIY or info on were I can re- enable the aux connection and just remove the iPod cable from the amp? When ever I select aux from audio menu, it says "aux no iPod"
Can you guys provide some kind of DIY info or where I should start?

I did the retrofit for the ipod. Now if i want to switch back to aux all i have to do is slide out the command unplug the ipod connector and connect the aux connector, if your aux jack is still there than im sure the aux harness is still present behind the command. Both are small 3 pin connectors..

Fyi dont go cheap on a aux cable.. i buy the good ones and still have to get a new one every few months. Plugging in and out a couple times a day is hard on the chrome finish.

yea, open up the ash trey and pull up on the bottom edge closest to you, should pop out. than there are two torque's screws holding the cd changer in, located on the bottom side of the changer. remove them and slide it out and unplug.
than on the bottome side of the command toward the front you will see 1 torque screw on each front corner. these screws DO NOT come out but they must be turned in the left untill they stop. than the comand will slide out. should see the aux pigtail behind it. swap with the ipod pigail and reinstall.
