where to buy antenna adaptor?
this may sound stupid. ive had lots of experience in car audio but i have no idea where to start looking for the antenna adaptors. im planning to add an ipod to my clk320 using an fm modulator and the new transpod. i know how to remove the headunit and such. all i need is a lead on where to get the two adaptors and where to tap the 12v modulator power leads (cig lighter?). any help would be appreciated

You CAN tap the power into the cigarette lighter, without modifying your wiring, using some spade crimp lugs (female and male) and wire in a Y-connector between the lighter and the wiring harness.
HOWEVER, you won't be able to listen to your iPod without the key (because Mercedes' radios work without the key in the car). So, the truly correct way to wire the FM modulator power is from the radio accessory circuit (usually blue/white coming from the stereo A connector). However, wiring a power adapter in will cost you $20-30 in A/B connector adapters, or you can just tap the wire.
Note in both cases... if you don't control the power going to the FM modulator, you're probably not going to be able to receive radio stations anymore. I'm not sure if that's the effect you're trying to achieve. Unless you have an FM modulator that's smarter than the ones I've seen, and detects "input" before diverting the antenna. (I thought the Transpod had an FM modulator built in that didn't require attachment to the antenna cable? I've had bad luck with those types of transmitters.)
Personally, I would replace the radio with a COMAND to get the AUX input. I run my iPod right into there and it sounds great.
