so i regretfully purchased a bang and blowufson upgrade and the bass sounds like someone farting in a 5 gallon bucket. I need to fix this $6500 mistake! Has anyone installed aftermarket subs in the s class? I have all DynAudio Esotar speakers in my other vehicle. Now that is a system!!!!!! I think due to space constraints I am only going to add a Dyn sub to the BO system. has anyone done this?

Many times adding subs, if you use the rear deck you can go sealed or free air if you don't want to take up space, also spend the time removing the factory sub and the rear fill speakers attached to it. Signal input to your aftermarket amp to power the sub can come from the original sub speaker input which is dual voice coil setup

stock sub should be 8"

Simplest solution is to remove that piece of junk to provide airflow into the cabin and stick a sub of your choice back there.

I have a 10w7 off a 500/1 amp and it gets pretty loud for a single 10. Not audiophile setup in any way but sure beats the stock sub.

If space is your concern look at the 13w5 I'm considering this sub as a replacement for the 10w7 to make some trunk space for a soon to be double stroller. lol

I am looking for sound quality that isn't over powered bass. Jl is great but I think it will drown the highs. What do you think?
I have a dynaudio estotar 12" sub I'm thinking about using

You might want to consider the 8 inch Helix sub. It has dual voi e coils and in my case space was a real constraint as I have a cab. We were able with a little fidgeting get to to drop into the stock location even re-using the stock Bose sub enclosure which is weird looking but in the end I was pleased as it gave me a very improved bass line while staying within my space constraints. Just my. 02. Good luck.

With some work and proper amplification, the E1200 will sound phenomenal IB in the rear deck.

any sub will sound better if in the proper enclosure and properly powered, remove the factory woofer if you can. also if the bass starts going in and out while playing music at loud volumes with the new sub. you will have to disconnect the mic input to the factory audio gateway/amp not the BO system
