v60 phone reception problem

v60 phone reception problem
The last few days I have one bar of reception when I have the phone docked in the car. If I remove the phone the reception goes to full. I will probably bring it in to the dealer (Rusnak) this morning but I was wondering if the little rubber circle on the back of the phone needs to be removed in order for the car antenea to take over, or could it be something else that is easy to remedy?
I really really love the phone integration and it not working right for the last few days is frustrating.
