Help Needed. What are my options? Sound Quality + iPod/Aux Integration
I have searched the forums and read endless posts regarding different variations of audio upgrades on the COMAND MOST Bose system, but I have not necessarily found the answers I'm looking for.
Vehicle Info
'04 CL55 w215. COMAND MOST MY2004 w/ CD Navigation, CD Changer, in-unit CD/DVD. No iPod, No Auxiliary input, Has bluetooth phone with dongle in console.
This is what I want to accomplish:
This seems to be the "simple" option
Much of the advice I've received leads down the road of going full aftermarket. I'm not at all considering the option of an aftermarket HU as I want to retain the OEM look and controls. For me - sound quality is paramount to functionality.
Support and advice is appreciated!!

This is what I want to accomplish:
- Retain factory COMAND HU
- Integrate iPod and/or Aux (would like, but don't need on-screen track lists, etc)
- Improve poor sound quality
This seems to be the "simple" option
- Dension Gateway for ipod integration
- Aftermarket speakers (I have JL components in a box and considering the helix shallow mount sub in original rear deck location)
- Power aftermarket amp with existing BOSE amp (how?)
