Nokia Phones
I am wondering what we will all do (those that have or will have the 6310i) when the 6310i gets too old? It sounds like we may be calling Steve to install the UHI when and if it is available. Any thougts?
After a LONG debate about the phone issue, I have but one question. Is the Nokia 6310i the latest and greatest phone that can be fully integrated with our cars? When I say fully integrated, I mean just as good or better than the MBENZ Motorolla phone.

But anyhow, why do you need to keep upgrading phones? If you're into fashion, then you have a problem. If you need a solid, reliable phone that is a good performer and has nearly all the features a business user could want, then the 6310i works well.
And what happens when it gets too old? Nothing. It's not like GSM 900/1800/1900 is going to be phased out anytime soon. So what do you mean by too old? You mean carriers won't activate it like my 4 year old Mecedes Motorola phone? In 5 years, the 6310i will still work and be saleable.

greetingz,
Steve, I get the impression from various posts here that the 6310i will be the last phone to work with the Comand. Could be just a rumor, but the premise was that there is a pending debut of the comand II and until then, nokia is not spending money to create new phones for less than new comand units.

My view is that with the advance in technology in mobile phones, if you wait until the next model is released, you'll be using a land-line forever. GSM, TDMA, and CDMA technologies will be the standards for a long while. Functionality will undoubtedly be added, but why wait?

That was what I was hoping to hear. I really appreciate you posting back. Now I am looking into the providers to see who can fit my needs. I am looking forward to haveing this phone.
Thanks,
Rich
