Just installed subs and amp in trunk and they cut off sometimes.
I have a set of kenwood 12's and an amp i took out an old car and put in my benz. They sound great when they are working but i've noticed when it's cranked and the song is really bass heavy they will cut out.... i'll lower the volume and they'll come back on. I recently had to mount the amp to the back of the sub because the place it was mounted to in the trunk was not ideal. I am wondering could this cutting out be due to it being mounted to the back of the sub and vibrations or is it that im just driving the subs too hard?

I would imagine it could be over heating the AMP, I had an issue a long time ago in a BMW where the box that held the fuse going to the amp would rattle to much and cut off for a few seconds. I took it to a sound shop and they charged me like 30 bucks to fix it by replacing the fuse housing to a better one.
