Fiberglass Hazardous ?
Does anyone know if I use Fiberglass to make a rear deck panels inside the passenger compartment for mounting speaker is a health hazard.
I know one needs to be careful when working with fiberglass (good ventilation and mask). What about once its finish, does it continue to emit any hazardous chemical vapours?

If you actually lay the fiberglass in the car you will smell it for days after that. So I would suggest that you lay your fiberglass outside of the car. Once the resin and hardener have been mixed and hardend you will be fine. I would hope that you would paint or cover the panel in vinyl though.

Thank you for the reply, I will likely spray paint it afterward.
I will be doing it outside the car for sure.
Does anyone have a good how-to-guide to fiberglassing

Try Glassmans Yahoo group. Quite a few nice installs and if you join the group you can ask questions in the forum. I frequently post on the Car sound & performance forum. The fabrication portion is an excellent place to get info.
