Can anyone clone me a W221 comand HDD for $200
Hi All
I am in Florida and just bought a flood damages 2011 S550, the head unit is beyond repair inc the hard drive. I've found a decent one in Europe (found some here bt they were all much older with the PCMCIA slot, this unit has the new SD card slot. But am told that its a real pain to switch them to USA unless I have a ready to go hard drive.
I bought same hard drive as in my unit toshiba mk4050gace to swap boards and hopefully save the data but it did not work.
I hear people can remove the protection and clone these drives now and others have bought a pre-configured drive and it all just plugs in and works.
If anyone can clone me a drive from 2011 or newer w221 so that it plus in and works in mine, I'd happily pay $200, I can even supply my 40gb toshiba drive to use.
