FIRMWARE INSTALLS REQUIRED?
I have a 05 SL65 in need of a new nav disc. I'm told the Harman Becker COMAND - North America Map DVD v.10 is the latest (and perhaps last) disc for my car. That said, I've also read / heard there is a firmware update available for my car that "may" allow newer disc versions to be used.
I also just got off the phone with a local stealership that's trying to sell me a V11 that they say will not only work with my car but install the latest firmware. Of course, they will not refund my $ if it doesn't work (i.e., once you "stick it in" they stick it to you).
Any suggestions (other than telling the stealership where to go...it's already been done!
