Pogo Alert plus and DAB radio interference
Hi,
I recently purchased the Pogo Alert v4 plus for my C63 Saloon (2013). I like to have things like this hardwired for neatness and ease of use so have wired it to the cigarette lighter feed so it turns on and off with the ignition.
Unfortunately I have a problem. it works perfectly but kills the reception on my Comand DAB radio. Its only a problem when hard wired. If I run it off the internal battery it doesn't affect it at all.
I know its a voltage/ampage type issue and wonder if its because the feed I'm using is the wrong voltage. Its very bizarre.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Try plugging in without hardwire kit to the cig lighter and see what happens. Here we have the FCC so most stuff does not interfere with other vehicle electronics. It could be a bad unit also.

Many thanks for the reply. It does seem to work ok with the cigar lighter adapter but I don't understand because I'm wiring it to the same feed. Why would it cause an issue? I really don't want to have an ugly lead hanging over the dash.
Cheers
