CANBUS Comand or not ??
Sorry, I forgot to mention, that I want to fit Comand in my car.
Because I have multi-function steering wheel does that mean I need a CanBus Comand ??

I know that the Comand needs a Canbus signal to work properly, my car 1997 W210 as an interior CanBUS netwok but not to the radio, would it be possible to tap in the network to include a Comand sytem.
So people have been saying that pre 1999 car do not have Canbus, but in fact they do. It's only a matter of knowing if we can use it for Radio/Comand upgrade.
Anybody has any idea if it's possible or not.
Steve would probably know that.

The only genuine non CANBUS comands are 163 comands.

Question for Steve, what do you think about using the interior Canbus for the Comand, i mean for cars that do not not have Canbus to the radio for have it for the rest of the car.
That is the case for my 1997 W210, i've look at the wiring and there is Canbus for the dome light, intrument cluster and a few other thing.
What do you think?
