I'm not aware of the first one. After all with the car you are interested about the route from the current position to the destination and this is what all navigation systems can do, not a big surprise. In a special case this equals to "from home to destination".
Most MB navigation devices do have the option to navigate to home. Then again, this isn't much different from navigating to any of the previous destinations or stored addresses in the address book.

If you already have "home address" in the memory of your COMAND, after you reach your destination, to return home, search the memory, select "home", the COMAND will calculate & show you the way back home (that's how I use my 08E350 COMAND). I guess the newer COMAND will have the same.
