Searched but could not find answer: Somebody with a 1999 CLK430 wants to buy my 2002 w203 Cassette Deck and wants to know if it will fit. I said it would. Then he mentioned radio codes. While doing my research I found out that my unit does not use radio codes. Does anybody know that my unit will fit his car? tks in advance

Ask your dealer where you bought the car. They would give it to you as long as they know you own the car, if there is one. They used to give you a package when you pick up the car, the code cards would be included.

Umm, there's no way that aradio will fit in that car, unless you use a lot of sawing and cutting. The faceplate is much larger than the CLK's.

And, it won't work, because the 203/209/463 radios expect information from the car over CANBUS, and the CLK will not provide this. The radio would come up with a PROD screen and not function.

Tks for your insight and quick response. If he had the newer CLK (W209) then it would fit because the center dash is almost identical to the W203.
