Electrical Gliches
Here's the best description I can provide of the series of electrical problems we are experiencing with my 2004 S55.
The key fob in RF function used to work sporadically and now doesn't work at all. The key fob will work if touched directly to the infra ray spot on the driver's door. The truck
will not open using either the driver's door release or the key fob. The trunk will open using the truck release button located directly above the rear license plate.
There are no related faults shown on the Star system computer
(not a clone but the real deal). The batteries were changed in the key fob.
We did a hard reboot by disconnecting the battery. Afterwards everything worked except for the RF function of the key fob.
Now less then a day later we are at the stage described above. Both myself and my Indie are stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cured the problems with a new battery. The existing battery was almost 11 years old - th original. The only problem now is the trunk opening which strangely works perfectly with the trunk open but won't open the trunk when it is closed. We can hear the lock working but the trunk will not release.
