XM Radio Installation Query
Anyone install an FM Tuner version of XM Radio themselves? I'm debating doing this myself and the only unknown is the antenna connections for the radio. I hear they are non-standard and can be a real nightmare.

The antenna cable is standard. It is just the European "Volkswagen/Motorola" standard, not the Japanese standard most aftermarket head units and RF modulators use.
You just need a pair of adapters (one volks->japanese, one japanese->volks). It should cost you about $5.

i got xm radio in my s500
i got the fm modular kit
man this thing is sweet
here is where they placed it
the ashtray they took out the little thing in there and it fit very nicely. becausr the xm face is very small
i can close and open my ashtray very easily...plus the face is a nice blue color so it adds a nice effect
btw the installation was only 70 bucks considering it took 3 hours to put it in
