CD changer and comand issue
I've got a 06 R320 CDO and comand has recently stopped working. You press the power button and the logo appears for a few seconds then it switches itself off.
So after a bit of research it seems that this is generally caused by an interruption to the MOST bus - either a break in the fibre optics or one of the devices being faulty. So a quick look around and the CD changer (CDC) in the glovebox appears dead - I can't eject any of the discs and no lights appear on the unit when pressing the 1-6 buttons.
My question is - even if there is another fault in the system somewhere, if the CDC was operating ok itself would I still be able to eject discs even if something else was causing the comand unit to shut down, or would this fault also prevent the CDC ejecting correctly?
Trying to avoid another trip to the dealer, so if a can fix this with a used CDC unit that would be my cheapest option.
