Sub Connector for HK in e350 Wagon
New owner of an E350 Wagon with HK sound. I find the system pretty good except for the sub.
I noticed the sub in the wheel well and 4 pin connector going to it.
I tested the signals and found ground, power, and audio +/-.
I temporarily attached an amp to the audio leads (and gnd for signal reference) and took power and ground off the nearby 15A power connector for the amp.
It worked great, big improvement - and I know I can get signal to a sub amp this way. Ultimately I will run a dedicated amp power from the battery.
I'm thinking of removing the rear seat (the third row) and using that space for a sub and amp - I have 16x34x6 inches - enough for a low profile 12"+ and amp.
I would like to do this with as little cutting as possible and as such am looking for a mating plug to the socket that detaches from the factory sub. It is a 4 pin, 2x2 connector with number 220 545 39 28 imprinted on it. Can anyone provide leads on where to find this connector or alternative approaches?
