2009 ml350 comand problems
My 2009 comand is acting strange. I am stuck on one radio station 100.3 Fm, unable to switch to am or wb. Cannot search for other stations or use presets. This is our daughter's car, shouldn't the screen have touchscreen? Cannot activate bluetooth for phone. Nav resets to New Jersey all the time. Dealer said unit is defective and quoted $4k for replacement. Sent unit off to mbspecialist in Florida. He charged me $100 for "diagnosis" and said headunit is fine. I reinstalled and have the same problem.
Any ideas, recommendation? Oh not sure if it is related bug problem surfaced after car had front SAM replaced due to liquid leak under passenger seat.

They did not give me a printout of any testing, just stated the unit was fine, the problem has to be my optical ring on the car...The Mercedes dealer keeps saying my comand unit needs to be replaced....

I am assuming CD still works in the vehicle and you have audio uninterrupted when cd is playing???? does it have HD radio? sat and HD radio are same unit. there is also an antenna module and also a GPS antenna. I will send you a link to a friend about an hour away from you. I would recommend him to
1, add an antenna to the FM port, he will need an antenna adapter and an antenna
2. hook up a gps antenna to the gps input.
there can possibly be a problem with something not powering up after the sam was replaced. if the comand was tested with no problem, you should go back to the dealership and request to be refunded for the misdiagnosis
