Beware of PAC SOEM-4.
I have a W208 that has an aftermarket head unit with SOEM-4 so I can use the Bose amp. I've been having a problem with my battery dying after sitting for about 4 days. So today I started to dig at the problem.
To make a long story short, the SOEM4 was connected to constant 12v which is typical for the bright yellow wire that it uses. However, in this configuration, the remote wire leaks 1.25 volts which will turn on and leave on your Bose amp.
So... for those of you using SOEM-4's, connect the yellow wire to switched 12v and not constant 12v.
Hope this saves someone all fo the frustration I've been through the past 6 months.

Wait, so just to be clear, there is no problem with the actual unit, just with the instructions or with the way you wired it, is that right?

Right.... the unit does work... it will convert outputs to be compatible with the Bose.
However, if they meant for it to be hooked up to switched 12v they should be clearer with the instruction and wiring colors.
If they were correct with wiring colors and meant for it to be constant 12v its a cheap design that leaks voltage where it shouldn't.
