Just got a used 2013 sl550 original delivery date 6/2013. Nav info says v7.0 2012
I would like to update to current maps and firmware. Dealer seems to think this is latest version for both, but if given specific information will do the update for me.
Can anyone give me specific information about this?
Also, where is the HDD located in this car?

ask me this, are you looking to screwing up your comand going through the engineering menus? I provided you the link saying it was the recent nav. now I only ask, because the dealership is seeing more and more comands screwed up due to people messing with the engineering menu and those that they can prove are not warranting them. I see you know nothing about it to begin with, as you would know about the nav disc update by going to the website and that it is HDD based? they call it engineering menu for a reason.. just saying... as those that the dealership doesn't warranty I fix, and I usually charge on how forth coming the person is and if they trash talk the dealership... or they can buy a new comand...or they can sing to themselves.. or toss a boom box on the front seat
I have only LOOKED at the engineering menu to see what version of firmware and software I have, indicated by codes posted but called NTG 4.5 gen 1 or gen 2 by Mercedes. I thought i'd ask for help to precisely understand what they are saying. If you have that information I'd appreciate your input.
