Has anyone heard anything about the newest upgrade for the V60 which is the V60S and the V60X for Mercedes? Whats the difference from the V60i?

The v60s adds speakerphone capability as well as e911 gps location tracking (the latter mandated by federal law as of January 1).

 

whats the difference between the v60s and v60x?
Also, what is the MSRP and availablility? Ive heard latter end of January but here it is Jan 25 and no news yet.

Note that the column on the right is for the V60p and the V60s as they are similar phones except for one feature. The V60s is the V60p WITHOUT the push to talk (walkie talkie - Nextel direct connect) feature. Notice that the V60s and V60x are intended for use with different carriers.

 

I called my local Mercedes dealer in Silver Spring MD. and the phone is available for $595.00. The guy said that you would need a different cradle. 301-890-3030 is the dealers number.

 

The old cradle and phone was almost $2k before. Any idea how much the system costs complete if I dont have a phone right now?

I was also looking at the motorola v600 thats due out this month.

 

I noticed AT&T is not listed as a carrier on either of these phones. I thought the newer v60p and s was GSM? Is this incorrect?
