Amp installed - Bass Fading Issues
Greetings - This is my first post.. but long time follower!
I have a 2014 GLK with HK upgrade.
I just had a brand new subwoofer / amp combo installed by Best Buy. A 600.1 Kicker amp with 10" Kicker L7 and Kicker factory box and a line-out convertor.
It sounds amazing! But when I really crank the volume, the bass actually fades away..
So lets say 50% volume, the bass sounds solid... then when up to 75% the bass almost almost disappears.
My question is - Does the Factory HK system remove bass at higher volumes?
Do we need to hook the signal to a subwoofer channel or rear speaker channel? Will the amp need to be put on High Input vs Low Input (currently low).
I feel like Im getting only 50% of the sub's performance... and not getting distortion. Maybe this is a voltage issue? I have 4 gauge kit suggested by manufacture.
