APS50 to OEM player??

Hi! My first post in this forum Im from Norway and I have a 04 s211 220cdi, chiptuned.
I have the audio 50 APS with fibre optics and Im sick of not having the option to connect my iphone and stream spotify to my car speakers.

And in 2017 Norway will shut down the FM broadcasting and move on to DAB+ so I need that too. An external DAB unit is very expensive unless I get one of those I put in the cigarette output...But tht isnt going to happen.

But I considered a Pioneer player with DAB+, BT and everything else I need.
The shop that has the player also have all the wire harness I need.
Has anyone here done something like this and can tell me how easy/hard it was to get all the steering wheel functions to work?
Is it almost plug and play or is it alot of work to make this work?

And one more question: Does the new unit use the orignal amp thats mounted in the trunk or does it use its own amp?
I dont have H/K if that has anything to say.

If you have optical system then search for the opti1 on here or here http://www.access1alarm.com/vehicle-...-mercedes-benz i know they ship overseas as i have been over there once a week for the past 3 weeks. the owner sells worldwide Viper remote controls and he is helping me out on a custom remote control. If you don;t have the optical, i don't know what to tell you besides it would be cheaper to integrate an aftermarket

I was looking at few Alpine pieces with the DAB and they seemed pretty nice.

for steering wheel controls we use a Metra piece on the MB's here, called the ASWC1
