Placement of subwoofer

Can someone help.

I've got this custom installer putting a box in my clk500.

I'm putting in two 10" Kicker CompVR subs with a 600watt 1ohm Crossfire VR600D amp. My question is with the placement of the box. He's facing the woofers towards the rear seats. I've only seen woofers face the rear of the car. Is this right?

Yes for the best thump, face the sub towards the rear, and if you have a ski port behind the rear seat armrest.......fold the armrest down and allow the bass to enter the car.

Hey Cliffy,
Please let me know if you hear a difference with your subs turned around.
Thanks.

Sadly, I've been told that it's just not possible (or at least not recommended) to add just a subwoofer to my Bose Command system.

I either have to spend thousands to gut my whole Command system or suck it up and bear my current system.
