Low Aux Volume Solved!
Like so many of you, my older (2008) E Class doesn't have an Ipod connector or Bluetooth capability, so we're left plugging an Ipod or similar device into the Aux jack in the glovebox to get some favorite tunes in the car.
Alas, we have all found that the volume from the Aux source is very low.
I've found suggestions for various in-line amplifiers, but none have really given any detail or findings of their setup, making it hard to decide whether or not to do it, or which one.
I have found a solution that works great. Someone mentioned the Boostaroo Headphone Amplifier in another thread, but didn't really say much more.
This thing works! The added power is amazing, and so simple to use.
There are several models with differing power sources, so I leave it as an exercise for the user to determine which model to choose, but I can tell you that even those low volume MP3 files on your iPod will absolutely blast from your speakers now.
You'll have to turn down the volume on your device so you don't overload the receiver, but you'll have all the volume you will need unless you're a 23 year old NBA player ready to spend 20 grand on a stereo!
Here they are:

Forgive me if you already know/did this, but there's always someone new wanting to learn!
Excuse me, but I have a date with Chuck Mangione & friends...
