De code your VIN and see if you have code U36, this is the nav processor prewired, but it will not be plug and play. I just did this on my E500. The fiber optic cable are routed if you have code U36, but they are disconnected and must be connect by the rear driver door sill.

What functionality will I gain?
I am looking at a COMAND Unit from any 2003 to 2006 w211.
Do they include Aux & BT?
Will I retain steering wheel control?
Will I be able to control Samsung smartphone from steering wheel?

Do you have the telephone in the center console? You will have steering wheel controls, you will need the ipod interface module for aux. If you have the phone in the center console, you can use the Mercedes BT puck, otherwise you will need ViseeO MB 4 interface.
