lost canbus in roof
The sat nav on my W211 Estate stopped working. having damaged the roof aeriel in the past I assumed that was the culprit and bought a second hand replacement on ebay.
When fitting it I found one end the left side of the car facing forwards, connects to a fibre optic that goes into the roof struture at one side. But the right had end was tie wrap onto the loom beneath the roof lining and headed to the other side of the car but the connector was empty. I assumed it had fallen off and spent hours trying to see if it had fallen into the box sections in the roof to no avail. I assume the right hand end should be connected but does anyone have an ide where the fibre loop goes, into the roof or down the tailgate pillar? If it has fallen in I may be able to recover it.
