Google Maps Send to Car stopped working?

Google Maps Send to Car stopped working?
Strange............since a few weeks it seems not possible anymore to send Google Maps locations to your car (using Mercedes Connect ME): https://www.google.com/maps/sendtocar
Mercedes was always one of the car brands supporting this, now more and more car brands support this, but.........Mercedes stopped doing this?!
Pity, since I used it quit a lot. Now I have to use the workaround on my smartphone, but using it with Google Maps on my desktop was very convenient.
Any idea why they stopped this?

Unbelievable that Mercedes and Google (for political / corporate policy reasons!) stopped with this service. Used it for many years in my Audi, and since a few months in my (first ever) Mercedes.
Because of the connection of Mercedes with HERE, I assume Mercedes is the cause of this, not Google, but who knows.
"Great" welcome experience that more and more online features are withdrawn from modern Mercedes cars: fuel prices, free parking places, etc were also removed recently from the Mercedes Apps, but still work on every Audi from a few years old and more to come.
Apparently now you have to use HERE (https://wego.here.com/ , then select Share, the Car and then you can choose Volvo or Mercedes and fill in your details),. but who will use that in a market dominated completed by Google?
Let's see how Mercedes officlals can "explain" this to her customers ("because we did invest in HERE, you must use it now, whether our customers want it or not").

Has anyone successfully used wego.here.com? I have not been able to get it to recognize my vehicle (2015 E350) by entering the VIN.
I'm now without any sort of desktop workaround. This is hugely disappointing, and I used Google Maps Send to Car so frequently I would pay to bring this service back. The "Send to Benz" feature is worthless for searched addresses, and I can't stand using my phone for these sorts of things.

Be sure that your Car ID indeed is your chassis number or something else (has to be set once in the Mercedes ME App config).
BTW, free parking places and fuel prices will be back soon, as well as some cool new features, I understood from Mercedes sources.

Yep, for me the wego.here.com variant works using a desktop (Windows 7 and Windows 10, both with Chrome browser).
Be sure that your Car ID indeed is your chassis number or something else (has to be set once in the Mercedes ME App config).
