Just had H/K Traffic Pro installed in my 93 400e. The stock system has the radio/amps in the trunk, with the head unit being only a control face. I had the tech bypass the old amps and stuff and wire the antenna directly from the new head unit to the mast in the back.

My problem is that the radio reception is terrible. I live in the LA area, and should be able to pick up many stations. Instead, I get only the strongest ones, and then only intermittently. AM is really bad, full of static.

Anyone have any suggestions?
