I am wondering if there are final Chicago dates. I will not be in town all of July so I might have to wait until the next trip. I would be interested if there is still time and if the dates work out for this trip.

Yeah, well, my 'boss' told me it would be a good idea to register on this forum, so I could help him a bit by replying some of the questions... But as you know, I am not really that technical and Steve can't seem to find any time to fill me in properly... Right now, we do all the technical talk through the phone, my brother and me.

Wow,I thought so,,,well the "boss" probably pays you handsomely for all you do,or at least he should.Like I said,,I will be sure to remind him how lucky he is.

Meantime,the company that sent me the wrong color headrest monitors says they wont have them shippable to me until the earliest,Thursday 7/8.I am really pissed,that could mean Steve wont be able to install them for me this time around.But everything else is a go.Maybe he can give me a quick lesson on whats needs to be done,leave the connections for the monitors in a nice easy place so I might do them when they come.My fingers are crossed they come in time.

Hello, everyone. I have finally made it back in town. I cut my trip short a couple of weeks to make sure I would be here for the big install. Has there been a date set? I am in DC and willing to drive up or down the coast to make this happen. I have not paid my deposit yet cause I wasn't sure if I would make it back in time. I will do it tomorrow though if I need to.

Hello there, yes there has been a date set... Steve will arrive in NYC on July 14, do installs for about 5 days in total and will then drive to Washington DC (most likely) to install comands - he will stay approx. 4 days. If you are still interested in Steve installing a comand, make sure you contact us asap (s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com), so we can arrange deposit, shipment of the goods to the States etc. Thanks.

However, Steve won't do a simple phone install... It can be done, BUT in combination with other installs (comand, TV tuner...). Reason is, that installing 'our' phone kits are not so hard to install by yourself...

I have a 2005 e320 cdi, I really don't need the dvd upgrade, if it isn't worth his time (understandable if its so easy) do you know anyone in central NJ who can install an intergrated phone?

US spec W211s and eurospec MB phoneparts don't go together...sorry - the phone related wiring is completely different due to the US spec teleaid system.

As for the install locations and dates:

New York/New Jersey: july 15 to -probably- july 20
Washington/Maryland: july 21 to -probably- july 25
Florida (Tampa?): july 25 or 26 or 27
St Louis: aug 03 or 04
Chicago:aug 04 or/and 05

The parts for NY/NJ and DC/MD are being packed right now and will be send out within 36 hours from this post...after that I don't take any additional installs.
There is a possibility to take more Florida work in case required...depending on what kind of work and where parts have to be send from/send to...
Deadline for the St Louis and Chicago installs is aug 01...

Where are the Chicago installs happening? I'd like to at least offer to bring by some food/drinks and meet you. I'm on the fence deciding on the TV tuner for my G. At the very least, can I have you do the WinStar programming so I can add it later? Is the digital climate control possible in the G? If so - how much? Can you get a Steyr/Puch grill emblem to replace the star? I believe that Steyr/Puch still sold the G class up to 1999 - which should fit.

It is no longer possible to be included in Steve's East Coast installs... Most of the parts needed have been shipped already.

The only states / places where we can add some more installs, are Florida (northern...) and Chicago...

I wanted to publicly praise the skill and comprehensive work that Steve Krabbenborg just completed on my car.He put in the euro Comand,folding blinking mirrors,a complete Savv headrest monitor set with DVD player capable of TV in motion as well as playstation functionality.The Comand fully integrated with my existing Cd,and MB phone. He tears out the interior completely,makes the necessary wiring connections that the factory would swear was done in Stuttgart if they didnt know better.And he did all of this with jetlag,hardly any sleep,as if his life depended on it.He used care on each particular aspect that would rival the owner's diligence if the owner had the nerve to do what he did.
Im already thinking of things he can do next year,or whenever he comes my way again.Thank you Steve,and of course his big sister,without whom I am sure he could never coordinate the amazing and crazy things he does.

I was lucky to have a Dad to teach me when I was 13,,,I became an ace wheel man for the PD as well as Semi's in the Navy and heavy construction equip...So think on that Baq.Good luck man.
