What do I need to connect iPhone to as a Media Interface?
Hello,
I have a 2012 E350 that I want to both play music from and charge my iPhone 7. I do not currently have any cables for it and all the ones I have found online are for MY 2013+. Additionally, some that might work have separate aux and lightning cables which would not work with the iPhone 7 specifically.
I am hoping I do not have to just get the stock cable and use a 30 pin to lightning adapter. If I do, what is the part number for my car?

You need the Merecedes media interface cable with a 30 pin to Lightning adapter. The Mercedes lightning cable is only for 2013 or newer, as you suspected.
On my 2012 CLS550, the media interface cable with the adapter works just fine, both charging as well as controlling music. Sorry, don't know the part number.
