COMAND from a 2010 CLS63?
My CLS63 was in an accident, so I was parting it out. I've had a few people ask me if my comand head unit will work in their cars. I have read some conflicting information so I figure I'd ask you guys.
Will my Comand from my 2010 cls63 work in another vehicle? or are they vinlocked. Its already been removed. If it is vinlocked, is there a process to have it unlocked since its already out of the vehicle?

To install a vinlocked Navigation head the coding requires proof of ownership.
this 2010 is questionable but near the time of security change. If you provide your identity @ install time it may work. I would not.
Ethical hacks are likely coming but it will be some time as they are busy building robotic driverless junk.
