MB V60 for Verizon
Hey guys,
I'm sure this was discussed thousands times before here, like everything else, but here is my question.
I'm thinking to buy a Mercedes V60 on eBay, there are quite few there. How hard it would be to install it in my 2001 CLK430?
I assume they all come prewired, but what else I will need to get it working with COMAND and cluster?

You will need the PSE module, VR module (If you want Voice Activation), mounting brackets, Fiber splices, cradle and cord kit.
Approx price for the parts $1200 - $1600 uninstalled. (Includes Handset).

How can you tell if you have this already or not? I bought my car as a Starmarked pre-owned and I have the Voice Recognition System in it already but I am not sure if that necessarily means it was already prewired to accept the V60 phone. There is no mounting brackets and such but when I scroll through the menu's, it mentions that the phone is not installed as if it was expecting a phone.

If you car has the phone/VR option when you bought it, which it sounds like you did, you will just need to replace the PSE (Approx $450) to the new dual mode PSE that works with the V60.
This dual mode PSE started to get introduced in 2002, therefore your 2001 will not have it.
You 2001 has the older Timeport only PSE.

So the bottom line is that even if I get the phone on eBay, there is no easy solution to integrate it with my car? Without paying big $$$$, which I already paid for the car.

He's installing one for me next week while, along with a Command UNit, MF wood steering wheel, and instrument cluster.
The phone kit he is integrating is for a 6310i... hence my question on the difference between the phones.
The phone kit, installed, came to $500.00 (I supply the phone).
