Chinese Mercedes star c4 vs Autel DS708
Hello people!
Im restoring mercedes 300 sl from 1961 here in Netherlands, and we made CLA 180 engine swap in it. Thing to note is we are very diy group that dont want to depend on dealer, other shops etc, it has to be done by us, by swapping the engine naturally we encountered ecu problems, I come from bmw world were simple k+ obd to usb cable that costs 30 bucks could fix almost everything, now Im looking for scanner/programmer for merc, I found about the chinese clone of real thing the mb star c3/4 and I was wondering if it was worth getting at price of 750 when autel ds708 costs as much, my main question is can autel ds708 do as much as the chinese c3/c4? And which is better to get. Thank you for reading and Im sorry for not posting pictures of 300 sl, its kind of family secret after it is on the road I will be happy to make a post full guide with pictures of how we did the complete swap.
