92 500sel Left Speakers Dead
The entire left bank of speakers have died out on me. It used to be intermittent, and before that, it was only one or two speakers on one side...
I don't know where to start troubleshooting this... any suggestions will be greatly appreaciated.
Btw, I also have a Becker 10-CD changer in the trunk that was replaced a year ago - I don't know if this is pertinent. The speakers are dead in all modes: radio, cassette or CD (it's not the balance setting: I checked that).

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
Most likely,
it's your amplifier. It's a separte chassis unit on that car. I belileve it's mounted in the LR trunk area on that year W140, but I may be wrong. If the parts guy at your dealership is sharp, he can get a rebuild from Becker that's a plug and play. Not terribly expensive, I think 250ish. Hope this helps.
