Audio 30: "PROD."
I bought an audio 30 radio on e-bay (model BE6003), it came out of a W210 E-Class.
When I hook it up in the SLK it just says "PROD." on the display. I searched the internet and forums, and from what I understand, certain Audio 30 models don't have a code, but verify the correct ownership by receiving an ID code over the CAN bus.
Now if that is correct, is there a way to reprogram the radio, so that the code can be entered manually?
I know that if I ask the dealer, they will say "thats what you get for buying parts on ebay. You should have bought it here for $1000"
