Should I go for factory fitted phone car kit on r171 SLK

Lots of confusion over here in the UK about the new SLK and the benefit of the various factory installed phone kits. I don't like the all in one nokia 6310i - the phone is old and Nokia are about to change the car kit interface for future phones but then it does work properly with all the onboard electronics.

The pre wired option plus cradle (from local dealer) will support Nokia, Motorola and Siemens. I;m told that of the 3 manufacturers, Siemens is the most forward looking.

Has anyone had experience of the prewired option plus siemens interface and siemens phone. Do you get full functionality from the multi function steering wheel. Do you need to get your own phone's firmware updated?

If this has already been covered in the forum please let me know.

I am currently using the Nokia with the UHI interface. I wanted to get the Motorola or Siemens. SIemens is the s55 and all functions will work with the car. Anyone have a part number for either UHi cradle?
