Alpine Head Units w/ Steering Wheel Controls
Has anyone been able to find the Alpine module that allows you to use the steering wheel controls?

It's been discussed a few times but no one seems to know where we can get one.

Yes, the part is available in Europe but the part number you are looking for is incorrect. The correct part number is KCE-860B. Price in the UK is approx £40 - £60 (Approx. $70 - $110)
The question you need to ask Alpine is do the US spec Alpines support Steering wheel controls, like the European one do? I don't see why not but worth confirming first.
Incidently, Clarion also has steering wheel controls available for the C class, E class and the CLK class up to 2002. Part numbers are RCE-107W for the C class and 108W for the CLK and E class.
