Is it bad for the Comand?
Is it bad for my Comand if I use it as a in-dash cd player?? I saw this in Steve's website(MbenzNL) "Also notice that many original COMAND units have a high failure rate of the CD mechanism"
Should I just leave it for reading navi cds and buy a cd-changer???

when the cd unit in my comand failed, they had to replace the entire comand unit! now, this change was done under warranty so the techs at the dealer may just have been looking to bill more to MB, but I haven't used it as a cd player since...

wow that's scary, I'll never use my comand as a cd player. But are the Map CD-rom okay to use? or should i only use them when needed? I'm constantly leaving the map cd in the slot, and using the map function. i'm hoping this wouldn't damage the slot .....
