aftermarket stereo voids warranty?

aftermarket stereo voids warranty?
Im about to get an aftermarket kenwood dvd deck installed. The installer told me that if I install any non-mercedes decks, mercedes will void my car warrranty. is there any truth to this?

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
they wont void the full warranty, but if something goes wrong caused by the aftermarket equipment, then yes the dealer will charge you and void that section of your warranty.
