iPod in my MB E400
New car and new iPod touch. I have not been able to connect my iTunes library to a car before. This is neat.
The audio/media/radio does not shut off until I open the driver's door. I was always taught to eject an iPod before disconnecting it. Can I unplug the iPod before opening the door?
The iPod will live in the car. The car is in the apartment building garage evenings and nights. But, during the day it is outside in winter and summer conditions. Do I need to worry about the effects of the weather? What about vibrations?

I've had my iPod in my glove compartment of my 2011 Audi from the day I bought it. I only occasionally bring it in to resync my music. I unplug the iPod when the car is turned off.
