Glove Box connection

I just bought an E55 AMG - 2006, and I have searched throughout the included manuals but have not found what the connection is that is located in the glove box. It look like a connection for an aux to play music from the cell phone. Is that what it is?

Aux in

If its the 2.5mm round phono socket at the very top of your glove box, then yes it is an auxiliary input.
Bloody stupid place to put it as you can't close the glove box with something plugged in.
