Wireless CarPlay
Hi all
I have a bit of a random question that I’m not sure if it can be answered but I’ll go for it anyway!
I’m considering getting a E63 AMG, which comes with CarPlay
An issue I’ve noted is that it only works if you have the phone plugged in by USB, unlike BMW which offers wireless CarPlay. The E63 does have wireless charging so hardware wise, I think it’s ok.
i believe this is purely a software issue and wondered if anyone knew of an after market coding or software update that could enable CarPlay to be wireless?
I know the next Mercedes platform will do this but I don’t believe that will be in the E63 for a few years and is probably my only real gripe about the tech v a BMW.
